Man arrested for driving toward 2 people on Seattle sidewalk
SEATTLE — Seattle police arrested a person on Capitol Hill after witnesses stated he drove his SUV on the sidewalk to strike two pedestrians who confronted him after he yelled a racial slur at a road performer.
An altercation between the 46-year-old suspect and the road performer occurred round 2 a.m. Saturday, the Seattle Police Division stated. A person and girl confronted the suspect after he yelled a racial slur on the performer, the Seattle Occasions reported.
The suspect then started making threatening statements, police stated. Witnesses informed police that the suspect drove onto the sidewalk within the 1700 block of Bellevue Avenue towards the pair who confronted him, police stated.
