Coyotes assign forward Dylan Guenther to WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds

The Arizona Coyotes assigned ahead Dylan Guenther to the WHL’s Seattle Thunderbirds on Sunday.

Seattle acquired Guenther’s rights from the Edmonton Oil Kings on Jan. 10.

Guenther’s additional time purpose earned Canada a 3-2 win over Czechia final month within the ultimate of the world junior hockey championship in Halifax. It marked the second straight yr Canada had received the event and fifth time since 2015.

The Coyotes had loaned Guenther to the Canadian junior squad.

Guenther, 19, had 15 factors (six targets, 9 assists) in 33 video games with the Coyotes. The six-foot-two, 181-pound Edmonton native registered seven targets and three assists in seven video games with the Canadian junior hockey crew.

The Coyotes chosen Guenther within the first spherical, No. 9 general, within the 2021 NHL entry draft.
