Crews knock down fire at building in San Francisco's Hunter's Point Naval Shipyard
Firefighters swiftly brought a building fire at the Hunter’s Point Naval Shipyard in San Francisco under control Sunday morning.
The blaze sprang up around 8:51 a.m. and was under control by 9:14 a.m., the fire department said.
No injuries have been reported and the cause is under investigation.

On-duty San Francisco police officer fatally strikes pedestrian
SAN FRANCISCO – Saturday morning, a San Francisco police officer fatally struck a pedestrian in the Bernal Heights neighborhood, officials said.
The accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. near Bayshore Boulevard and Industrial Street. The officer was on duty when the accident occurred, SFPD said in a statement.
The man was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries where he later died.
The officer was not injured, SFPD said. The department’s Traffic Collision Investigations Unit responded to the scene and is investigating the collision.
The San Francisco Police Department said they are actively investigating the accident and said anyone with information should contact them at (415) 575-4444.
