Season series: Tied 2-2

San Francisco won 7-5 in 11 innings as +115 road underdogs Friday. The game went scoreless until the 5th inning when the Dodgers poured in 4 runs and held that 4-0 lead until the 7th inning. The 7th and 8th innings went to the Giants who scored 5 runs across the 2 innings to take a 5-4 lead heading into the 9th. An RBI single from 1B Freddie Freeman tied the game for the Dodgers and sent it to extras. SS Brandon Crawford scored the go-ahead run on an RBI single in the 11th.

The Giants have now won 5 straight, are 8-2 in their last 10 overall and sit at 19-15 on the road this season. The Dodgers are 2-3 in their last 5 and have not won back-to-back games since May 29-30. LA is 22-12 at home on the season.

Giants at Dodgers picks and predictions

Prediction

Giants 5, Dodgers 4

Moneyline

LEAN GIANTS (+140).

The Giants are the much hotter team and are a very solid road team, but the Dodgers have been dominant at home this season and do have the edge in recent matchups. The Dodgers are 7-3 in the last 10 meetings and coupled with their home record, it does make it hard for the Giants to take 2 in a row in Dodger Stadium. Bet very lightly here and if you believe in LA, then you can place a small wager on it for this bet.

Run line/Against the spread

BET GIANTS +1.5 (-140).

The Giants should be able to make this a close game whether you believe they can continue their hot streak or not. This bet is fairly risky but with game 1 going into extras and the hot streak the Giants are on, I believe in them here. The O/U is still your safest play, however.

Over/Under

BET OVER 8.5 (-115).

For San Francisco, the Over is 3-0 in its last 3 overall. For Los Angeles, the Over is 3-0-1 in its last 4 Saturday games and 6-0-1 in its last 7 during game 2 of a series. The Over is also 6-3-1 in the last 10 head-to-head matchups.
