San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan didn’t sound too worried about Brock Purdy’s status moving forward. Purdy left Monday’s game with a stinger, but did not return.

Shanahan mentioned multiple offensive lineman being out as the reason that Purdy didn’t return so he could be ready for next week. Here’s Brock on suffering his second stinger in as many games:

“The way I got tackled on that play, it lit up again, just like last week. Over time, it went away. At first it was on fire. Over time, like last week, it came back.”

One of those offensive lineman that didn’t return was left guard Aaron Banks, who suffered a toe injury. Shanahan said that it was the same foot that kept Banks out for two games. Banks confirmed that he re-aggravated his turf toe injury.

Jaylon Moore has a concussion. He came in for Trent Williams, who left with a groin injury. Williams will undergo an MRI on Tuesday. Shanahan said that Williams wanted to go back into the game, but the medical staff told Shanahan to hold Williams out. In the locker room, Williams said, “I’m good. I know you want to ask me about the injury. I’ll be all right.”

If Williams and Moore cannot go next week against Washington, then Colton McKivitz will play left tackle and Spencer Burford will get the start at right tackle. Shanahan said that he’s the next option.

Finally, Ambry Thomas has a hamstring injury. He did not start the second half, but Shanahan said that the plan was to work Jason Verrett into the game. Verrett played in the slot. Shanahan said that Verrett had been playing nickel for the previous two weeks, and did for four weeks in a row when he was in Houston.

We’ll have more updates about Williams’ MRI when Shanahan speaks this afternoon at 12:30 p.m. PT.
