Teen Suspect at Large After Stabbing Girl, 16, in the Head at Mira Mesa Rec Center

A teenage boy allegedly stabbed a 16-year-old lady within the head late Friday afternoon at Mira Mesa Recreation Heart, sending her to a hospital.

The alleged assault within the 8500 block of New Salem Avenue was reported shortly earlier than 5 p.m., in keeping with the San Diego Police Division.

The sufferer’s father took her to a trauma middle for therapy of accidents of undetermined severity, SDPD Officer John Buttle mentioned.

The motive for the assault was not instantly clear, and the assailant — believed to be 16 or 17 years previous — remained at giant as of 5:30 p.m., Buttle mentioned.
