Sacramento sheriff blasts ‘upside-down’ liberal crime policies: ‘We’re treating criminals like victims’

Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones criticized the liberal “soft-on-crime” insurance policies in California that he believes deal with criminals just like the sufferer. He mentioned President Biden’s try to crack down on ghost weapons will do nothing to cease the criminals who possess them.

Biden’s crackdown on weapons follows a latest gang-related mass capturing in Sacramento that left six useless. One of many suspects, Smiley Martin, had been launched early from a 10-year jail sentence regardless of opposition from the county DA’s workplace which warned he was nonetheless harmful. 

Jones famous the suspects within the latest capturing had obtained their weapons illegally.

Jones mentioned he’s working for Congress in a bid to handle the “upside-down” liberal insurance policies that he says aren’t serving to America. 

He mentioned Smiley Martin’s case isn’t distinctive.

Jones mentioned the recidivism fee in California is as excessive as 70% in some areas, which is why he believes violent crime is surging nationwide.
