Washington Commanders release former Oregon Ducks star
Justin Hollins signed with the Washington Commanders on Aug. 19. The defensive end’s stay didn’t last very long. The Commanders released the former Oregon Ducks star, the team announced on Tuesday, the deadline day for final roster cutdowns.
Hollins, a fifth-round pick (No. 156) by the Denver Broncos in the 2019 NFL draft, played for the Los Angeles Chargers, New York Giants and Green Bay Packers last season, appearing in four games with nine tackles.
Hollins appeared in the Commanders’ third preseason game. He recorded one tackle and a quarterback hit against the New England Patriots.
