LSU was scheduled to play the Oregon State Beavers in the winners’ bracket of the Baton Rouge Regional on Saturday, but with storms plaguing the area, that game will have to wait until Sunday.
That game is now set to be played at Alex Box Stadium at 2 p.m. CT.
The Tulane-Sam Houston State game started at 2 p.m. Saturday with the winner being done for the season. That game got all the way to the top of the seventh inning with Sam Houston State up 7-2. Tulane loaded the bases with two outs and then the game was delayed due to weather.
After it was initially delayed, The game was scheduled to restart at 5:55 p.m., but lightning entered the area just when the teams were getting ready to go and the delay continued.
The NCAA is hopeful that the game between Tulane and Sam Houston State will be finished Saturday night, but it has altered the schedule. Now, the loser of the game between the Tigers and Beavers will play the eventual winner of the currently delayed game on Sunday night at 8 p.m.
