Travis Bazzana may very well be the top pick in this weekend’s MLB Draft. In preparation for the big day, Bazzana appeared on the Diggin’ Deep Podcast.
The Australian prospect expressed his gratitude and admiration for one particular former Beaver, and current MLB All-Star, throughout his time in Corvallis: Cleveland Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan.

“My Freshman fall, he was out there working out, hitting, and, like I got to hit with him, and I got to talk to him on the field while I was playing catch,” Bazzana stated. “He, like, is such a good person and such a hard worker, humble, good dude, always willing to give you advice and have a conversation. Not just like kind of big league you. Kwane, he’s been awesome too.”
The 2024 MLB All-Star is set for July 16 on FOX from the Texas Rangers’ home of Globe Life Field. Kwan is set to make his first All-Star appearance and start the game. He leads Major League Baseball with a batting average of .354.
