Oregon Ducks scrimmage: offense performs well early, defense ends with multiple stops in 2-minute scenarios
EUGENE — The Oregon Geese’ offense had the early benefit and the protection took over late throughout the workforce’s first scrimmage of fall camp.
That’s the evaluation of first-year coach Dan Lanning from his workforce’s eighth preseason follow, the second in full pads and UO’s first scrimmage Saturday at Autzen Stadium.
“Good first scrimmage,” Lanning stated. “I assumed the compete was excessive. Offense actually moved the ball early on, had some early success. Our protection had two massive stops in two-minute that was spectacular on their facet. … It’s good to see the yin and yang, however a lot to wash up on either side.”
