Hiker dies after falling down bluff on Oregon Coast, swept out to sea
A 25-year-old man mountaineering in Cape Kiwanda slipped and fell down a rocky bluff to the ocean’s edge and was swept out to sea Saturday.
Rescue groups recovered the physique of California resident Henry Minh Hoang on Sunday afternoon, Oregon State Police mentioned Monday.
Hoang was mountaineering past a security fence in an space some locals name “the punch bowl,” which isn’t the Satan’s Punchbowl State Park about 40 miles south of the situation, police mentioned.
He slipped and fell about 20 ft and was knocked unconscious round 5 p.m. Saturday. Hoang was swept into the ocean by the waves, and witnesses overlooked him, police mentioned.
Rescuers recovered his physique on the shoreline on the backside of a close-by cliff round 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
