Tesla is planning to open a dealership on Santa Ana Pueblo land, officers introduced Friday.
It is going to be the second New Mexico dealership for the Austin-based firm. The announcement comes simply over a 12 months after the primary dealership was opened on Nambé Pueblo land in September 2021. Though New Mexico prohibits direct-to-consumer automobile gross sales — which is the one kind of gross sales that Tesla makes — as sovereign nations, Nambé and Santa Ana aren’t restricted by the state rule.
The transfer brings Tesla nearer to Albuquerque residents, with the pueblo accessible in an under-30-minute drive, as in comparison with the greater than an hour drive to Nambé.
