Plainview burglary suspect identified as escaped New Mexico prisoner

PLAINVIEW, Texas (KCBD) – The Plainview Police Division has recognized a suspect believed to be linked to a string of burglaries within the space from March 2022 by means of Oct. 2022.

Police say DPS recovered DNA from a burglarized native dealership that matched a New Mexico man. The person is accused of a number of burglaries in West Texas together with Brownfield, Massive Spring, Levelland and Snyder.

Officers say the person is presently incarcerated within the New Mexico Division of Corrections charged with a number of counts of housebreaking. Investigators decided the identical suspect dedicated related crimes of business buildings in and across the Hobbs space. He was later convicted in 2018.

The suspect reportedly escaped from jail and it’s believed he dedicated a number of further burglaries in Plainview and surrounding areas throughout his absence.

Plainview police say he was later arrested in Oklahoma and is again in custody of the NMDC.

At the moment investigators haven’t launched the title of the suspect.
