Clovis’ farmer’s market moving
When Clovis’ Farmer’s Market opens in a bit over a month it will likely be within the parking zone of town’s North Plains Mall, a brand new location.
Margie Plummer, market supervisor for the Clovis and Portales farmer’s markets says a portion of the world the place the market was once held, within the parking zone of Goodwin Lake Path Park, was offered by town and new development will start there quickly.
“We had been welcome to remain,” Plummer mentioned, “However our worry was development would start and intrude with the market.”
Plummer mentioned she understands the remainder of the parking space adjoining to Prince Avenue can be on the market.
Plummer took a name from North Plains Mall directors who instructed her, “We’d welcome you to come back right here.”
The Clovis Farmer’s Market will open Saturday, July 2 at 8 a.m. within the North Plains Mall parking zone behind Purple Lobster. The market may also be open Tuesdays at 5 p.m. Closing time for the market is “when it’s all gone.”
The market’s final day is ready for Saturday, October 29.
Plummer added the Portales Farmer’s Market will open Thursday, July 7 at 5 p.m.
