Wildfire in eastern Nevada burns 1,800 acres

ELKO COUNTY, Nev. (KOLO) – A wildfire burning south of West Wendover within the Goshute Mountain Vary has grown to 1,800 acres.

The Goshute Fireplace was sparked by lightning on Saturday, June 25 round 3:30 p.m. west of Freeway 93 Alternate.

Based on the Bureau of Land Administration, the hearth is burning in steep, rugged and inaccessible terrain.

The fireplace is 12 p.c contained with full containment anticipated Friday, July 15.
