Want to take a look inside the priciest single-family home ever sold in Reno, Nevada? In the latest episode on Mansion Global’s YouTube channel, managing editor Beckie Strum tours the 20,000-square-foot megamansion that fetched $10.325 million earlier this year.

The home was built around 2005 by casino-industry executive William Pennington, who died in 2011 at the age of 88. He put well over $20 million into the construction, according to the home’s most recent listing agent.

Standing on a 14-acre estate in southwest Reno, the residence overlooks the Sierra Nevada mountains. Design details include materials imported from Europe and South America, as well as rare onyx from Mexico.

Nevada has attracted a wave of migration from high-cost states in recent years, drawn by its lack of state income or inheritance tax and comparatively low property taxes, especially compared to neighboring California.
