In celebration of America Recycles Day on Nov. 15, Nevada’s Okay-12 college students are invited to showcase their creativity and dedication to defending our planet by taking part within the Nevada Division of Environmental Safety’s Nevada Recycles Poster Contest. The competition is open now via Oct. 3, 2022.
To take part, college students might want to create a poster that highlights this 12 months’s theme: “Refuse It or Reuse It.” The poster ought to promote methods to scale back waste by refusing to take one thing you don’t want or reusing objects that you simply would possibly in any other case toss within the trash. Contest Guidelines:
The competition is open to all Nevada college students in grades Okay-12
The competition might be cut up into 4 classes for judging:
— Kindergarten via 2nd grade
— third grade via fifth grade
— sixth grade via eighth grade
— ninth grade via twelfth grade
Three winners from every class might be chosen.
Every winner will obtain sustainable items, corresponding to reusable lunch kits, Rocketbook reusable notepads, and compost bins.
