Frierson sworn in as first Black U.S. attorney in Nevada

LAS VEGAS — Nevada’s new high federal prosecutor has been sworn in to his job in Las Vegas.
U.S. Legal professional Jason Frierson was administered his oath of workplace Wednesday by Chief U.S. District Decide Miranda Du throughout a ceremony on the downtown Lloyd George U.S. Courthouse.
Frierson is the primary African American to function U.S. lawyer for the District of Nevada. He is a former Democratic state Meeting chief and deputy Clark County public defender.
He was really useful for the four-year submit by Democratic U.S. Sens. Catherine Cortez Masto and Jacky Rosen, nominated in November by President Joe Biden, and confirmed in April by the U.S. Senate.
