North Idaho Armed Robbery Suspect Killed by Police in Montana

ST. REGIS, MT – A number of Montana regulation enforcement businesses, together with the Mineral County Sheriff’s Workplace, Sander’s County Sheriffs Workplace and the Montana Freeway Patrol have been a part of an officer concerned capturing at a fuel station in St. Regis, Montana on Saturday.

The suspects had been concerned in an armed theft in Osburn, Idaho earlier within the morning of March 18.  Osburn is positioned alongside I-90 close to Wallace.

Mineral County Dispatchers suggested that witnesses noticed 2 people strolling away from the suspect automobile, within the St. Regis space. Legislation enforcement discovered of the placement of 1 suspect and was capable of take that suspect into custody with out incident.

The Mineral County Sheriff’s Workplace issued an alert on social media on Saturday morning for St. Regis residents at 11:24 a.m.  “there’s a suspected armed robber in St Regis. Photographs have been fired. Please keep inside and locked your doorways! Legislation enforcement is on scene,” stated the alert.

Previous to contacting the second suspect, a hostage was taken. When regulation enforcement arrived on scene, the hostage had been shot by the suspect. Legislation enforcement then engaged the suspect, who was shot and succumbed to his accidents.

All suspects have been accounted for and there’s no menace to public security at the moment. The investigation has been turned over to the Montana Division of Prison Investigations. The Missoula County Sheriff’s Workplace is dealing with the coroner duties and the suspect has been despatched to the Montana State Crime Lab for an post-mortem.

There have been no regulation enforcement officers injured throughout this incident.
