UPDATE:

The Sawtell Peak Hearth is burning 16 acres, the Jap Idaho Interagency Hearth Heart says.

“Hearth conduct is smoldering, creeping, recognizing and remoted torching,” in keeping with a information launch despatched on Wednesday night.

ISLAND PARK – Firefighters are battling a 15-acre blaze south of Sawtelle Peak in Island Park.

Jon Carnill, a spokesman for the Caribou-Targhee Nationwide Forest, tells EastIdahoNews.com the hearth began round 2 p.m. and is burning timber and brush within the space.

They haven’t decided a trigger but.

Carnill isn’t certain if there are any buildings in danger, however nobody has been injured.

It’s unclear when the hearth will probably be contained.
