Rear-end collision in western Idaho sends 2 to hospital – East Idaho News
PAYETTE – A number of individuals have been injured in a collision involving three automobiles in western Idaho Monday afternoon.
Idaho State Police report the crash occurred on U.S. Freeway 95 and Northeast nineteenth Avenue in Payette County at 3:17 p.m.
A 19-year-old lady from Fruitland was headed northbound in a 2007 Pontiac Vibe. She rear-ended a 33-year-old lady and her 27-year-old male passenger, who’re each from Weiser, in a 2009 Dodge Journey. Site visitors had slowed down, which ISP says was the explanation for the collision.
“Upon affect, the Pontiac crossed into (the) middle line and struck a John Deere Swather, which was touring southbound on US 95,” a information launch from ISP says.
The driving force of the swather was a 36-year-old man from Weiser.
The individuals within the automobiles that rear-ended one another have been injured, although ISP doesn’t specify their precise situation. The Fruitland lady was taken by ambulance to a close-by hospital, whereas the lady within the different car was airlifted.
It’s unclear if the 27-year-old man or the motive force of the swather have been harm. The Pontiac and swather drivers have been each carrying seatbelts.
Site visitors on U.S. 95 was blocked for about three hours as emergency responders assisted these concerned and cleaned up the wreckage.
The crash stays below investigation.
