EAST IDAHO — An SUV crashed into the Papa Murphy’s Pizza on Main Street in Rigby early Friday morning, according to a press release from the Rigby Police Department. Alcohol is expected to have been involved in the crash, police said.

According to the release, a 23-year-old male driving a 1991 Chevrolet Blazer failed to negotiate a right-hand turn onto Main Street, traveling south on Farnsworth Way at a high speed. The driver hit a streetlight pole and proceeded across the Papa Murphy’s parking lot, crashing into the northwest corner of the building.

The crash resulted in a significant amount of damage to the building, police reported. Idaho Falls Ambulance transported the driver to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
