IDAHO FALLS – A person escaped a home hearth in Idaho Falls with minor accidents Friday afternoon.

A home on the nook of Juniper Drive and seventeenth Road caught hearth round 4 p.m., in line with a information launch from the Idaho Falls Fireplace Division.

Firefighters noticed flames coming from the yard once they arrived at 4:06. The person who made it out was not hospitalized.

Crews rapidly extinguished the fireplace and prevented it from burning close by houses and buildings.

“The hearth prolonged from the again of the house to a bed room, front room, kitchen, eaves, attic, and roof, with smoke harm all through the house. The estimated damages are unknown presently, however the house is uninhabitable,” IFFD stories.

The reason for the fireplace is underneath investigation by IFFD’s Fireplace Prevention and Investigation Division. The Legislation Enforcement Chaplains of Idaho have been dispatched to help the home-owner with quick wants.

The westbound lane of seventeenth Road and a portion of Juniper Drive have been shut down whereas IFFD battled the blaze. Idaho Falls Energy and Intermountain Fuel briefly disconnected utilities as a security precaution.
