Freeze warning issued in eastern Idaho – East Idaho News

IDAHO FALLS — A freeze warning has been issued for a big part of jap Idaho.

The warning is in impact from midnight Tuesday till 9 a.m. Wednesday within the following communities: Idaho Falls, Rexburg, Rigby St. Anthony, Pocatello, Chubbuck, Blackfoot, American Falls, Shelley, Firth, Fort Corridor, Mud Lake, INL and Craters of the Moon Nationwide Monument.

Nationwide Climate Service officers say temperatures will drop to between 28 and 32 levels, with some areas dropping into the mid-20s.

Frost and freeze circumstances will kill crops, delicate vegetation and probably do harm to unprotected out of doors plumbing.

Officers advise the general public to take steps now to guard tender vegetation from the chilly. To stop freezing and potential bursting of outside water pipes they need to be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those who have in-ground sprinkler methods ought to drain them and canopy above-ground pipes to guard them from freezing.
