Floating bridge in Idaho Falls closed for winter – Local News 8

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – As winter approaches, the floating pedestrian bridge close to Johns’ Gap was eliminated for the season.

The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Workplace used its boat to assist take away the bridge.

The bridge is eliminated every winter in preparation for spring as larger water ranges may injury to the bridge and the underside of the freeway overpass.

The bridge usually reopens in June.
