Firefighters battling 15-acre blaze on Sawtelle Peak – East Idaho News

ISLAND PARK – Firefighters are battling a 15-acre blaze south of Sawtelle Peak in Island Park.

Jon Carnill, a spokesman for the Caribou-Targhee Nationwide Forest, tells EastIdahoNews.com the hearth began round 2 p.m. and is burning bushes and brush within the space.

They haven’t decided a trigger but.

Carnill isn’t positive if there are any buildings in danger, however nobody has been injured.

It’s unclear when the hearth will likely be contained.

A number of sources are getting used to fight the hearth, together with two engines, a sort 3 helicopter and a floor crew.
