Electric vehicle charging ports added to 12 Idaho locations with EV program funding – Idaho Capital Sun
Funding so as to add electrical car charging infrastructure to 12 areas in Idaho was awarded by means of the state’s Electrical Automobile Provide Gear Program, in line with a press launch from the Workplace of Power and Mineral Assets and the Idaho Division of Environmental High quality.
Cash from this system, which totals $2.6 million and led to July, will present funding for publicly obtainable electrical car charging gear alongside Idaho’s main highways and freeways, making a larger community of charging providers for the general public, in line with the press launch.
The funding will add 48 charging ports for electrical autos across the state, and 12 of these charging ports are already operational within the cities of Lewiston, Hailey, Bonners Ferry and Coeur d’Alene.
The next entities have been chosen for funding by means of the Electrical Automobile Provide Gear Program:

- $77,334 awarded to town of Bonners Ferry for its Customer Middle
- $324,960 awarded to town of Driggs for the Driggs Group Middle
- $349,696 awarded to town of Island Park for its Metropolis Constructing
- $217,379 awarded to Cloninger’s in Grangeville
- $207,683 awarded to Cloninger’s in Kamiah
- $155,188 awarded to Eagle Touchdown’s Gas Station 76 in Coeur d’Alene
- $155,539 awarded to the Fall River Cooperative Headquarters in Ashton
- $291,158 awarded to Could’s {Hardware} in McCall
- $149,828 awarded to the Nez Perce Tribe for the Clearwater River On line casino in Lewiston
- $79,768 awarded to the Northern Lights Headquarters in Sagle
The Workplace of Power and Mineral Assets and the Idaho Division of Environmental High quality have managed this system since 2017 with funding from the Volkswagen Clear Air Act Civil Settlement.
