CHIP Act could provide Idaho industry with billions in subsidies

Idaho (KMVT/KSVT) — A vote set to bolster U.S. semiconductor manufacturing may happen as early as Tuesday, based on Senate Majority Chief Chuck Schumer.

The CHIP Act is designed to offer $52 billion in subsidies for chip corporations that design and manufacture their very own chips, like Idaho-based micron know-how.
