Hawaii nonprofit is bringing local food to elderly
HONOLULU (KHON2) — Hawaii Rise Basis has partnered with over 24 native farmsteads to create meals containers for kūpuna. The nonprofit says these Group Supported Agriculture (CSA) containers have offered over 600 meals to the neighborhood to this point.
The trouble is a part of the “Collectively We Can” marketing campaign in honor of Hawaii County’s former mayor Billy Kenoi.
These containers are distributed each different week for gratis to this system recipients. They comprise fruits, freshly grown veggies, nuts, espresso, starches and different wholesome objects. OK Farms, Kawamata Farms and Mom Natureʻs Miracle are among the many native farmsteads taking part.
