Arizona man convicted of trafficking meth to Hawaii sentenced to prison
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – An Arizona man convicted of trafficking meth to Hawaii has been sentenced to 14 years in prison, officials said.
Dennis Kelly, 45, pleaded guilty to charges of possession with the intent to distribute and international money laundering.
He mailed packages of methamphetamine to Hawaii and New Mexico and wired thousands of dollars to a source in Mexico.
Kelly was arrested in August 2021 after receiving about 10,000 fentanyl pills from a courier.
The investigation was part of a task force with agents from Homeland Security along with agents from the FBI, ATF, and the DEA.
