Applications now open for Hawaii Youth Sustainability Challenge

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – Calling all high school students: If you have ideas on how to solve some of the biggest challenges to Hawaii’s environment, now’s your chance.

You can apply for the Hawaii Youth Sustainability Challenge.

It’s designed to empower youth to develop solutions to conservation and sustainability challenges in their schools and communities.

Students in grades 9 through 12 statewide can apply.

Selected students will receive up to $1,000 in funding as well as guidance and training to support their efforts.

The deadline to apply is Sept. 27.
