What Lions-Broncos fantasy decisions are you making?
Well. The pain rolls on for the Detroit Lions, which is less than ideal for fantasy managers heading into the playoffs. The Lions offense was looking to be a fantasy goldmine earlier this season, but suddenly the key pieces are not so reliable. This is not the time of year that anyone wants to get cute with lineup decisions, but there are some real question marks.
I guess Detroit’s stumble can be good for managers with Denver Broncos players this week, as the Lions defense is not looking like anything to fear. The Broncos have been hot, having won six of seven, but none of those wins were offensive explosions by any means. This is going to be a tough game for the start of the fantasy playoffs.
Today’s Question of the Day is:
What Lions-Broncos start/sit decisions are you making?
My answer: It has been four modest weeks for Jared Goff, three off weeks for Amon-Ra St. Brown, no RB1 performances from David Montgomery or Jahmyr Gibbs over this stretch, and even Sam Laporta came back down to earth against the Bears. Simply put, I have Goff as a QB2, both backs as flex plays, and St. Brown as a borderline WR1. I would not be placing my hope in the Lions this weekend.
As for the Broncos, the outlook is similar. Russell Wilson is unlikely to crack the top 10, and Courtland Sutton has been a WR1 just once this year, which is still more than Jerry Jeudy. If I had to trust one Denver player, I think Javonte Williams could be a high-end RB2. Williams is trending in the right direction and I can see him finding the end zone on Saturday.
