ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KKTV) – A group of brave good Samaritans helped law enforcement arrest two men accused of shooting a driver on I-25 Saturday morning.

According to 11 News sister station CBS Denver, everyone involved was traveling in the area of I-25 and Highway 36 in Adams County. The Adams County Sheriff’s Office told CBS Denver there was some sort of road rage incident between the suspects and victim, leading to the shooting. The witnesses saw the gunfire and called 911 — then tailed after the suspects from a distance, keeping them in their sights until deputies arrived.

Both suspects were quickly taken into custody. The victim is expected to survive.

A spokesperson for the Adams County Sheriff’s Office described the Samaritans’ actions as “pretty cool.”
