Getting destroyed by the Cleveland Cavaliers is nothing to be ashamed of, even if you are the Denver Nuggets. That was just a bad match-up for the Nuggets as they conceded 22 threes in a 12-point loss. This is a bounce back situation for them as they take on the lowly Wizards. A handful of players are on the injury report including Dario Saric, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon. Nikola Jokic is healthy and playing well, that’s the most important thing right now.

To say that Washington doesn’t have much going for themselves right now would be an understatement. This team has dropped 16 games in a row, they failed to record a single victory in the month of November. There’s a long list of injuries on their roster as well which include Malcolm Brogdon, Kyle Kuzma, Saddiq Bey, Corey Kispert and a few other rotational players. Washington’s last 10 defeats have all been by double-digits, they have by far the NBA’s worst Net Rating at -16.0 points.

Obviously it’s just a matter of time when this Wizards run comes to an end, but that shouldn’t be happening against 3-time MVP Jokic and his Nuggets. Denver needs to respond in a big way here following that loss to Cleveland, they’ve won 6 in a row against this team and have covered in 5 of those games. On the road in Washington they’ve won 5 of 7, so let’s hope they can maintain that run of success of here.
