Atlanta Falcons at Denver Broncos: Predictions, picks and odds for NFL Week 11 game

play

In the final minute of their respective games, the Atlanta Falcons (6-4) and Denver Broncos (5-5) thought a victory was within their reach. Instead, they left their road games with a devastating loss but will try to regroup in their Week 11 matchup.

Missed field goals were a big issue for the Falcons against the New Orleans Saints, but Atlanta didn’t capitalize on opportunities in a game it was expected to easily win. Luckily, the Falcons have a healthy lead in the NFC South, but it would be wise not to give other teams hope of catching up and making it a tight divisional race.

Just when it looked like Denver would finally slay the mighty dragon in the Kansas City Chiefs, a blocked field goal stunned the Broncos and sent them home with another loss. They’ve exceeded expectations so far this season, but that can change if Denver continues to slide.

NFL Week 11 odds, predictions and picks

Eagles vs. Commanders | Bears vs. Packers | Lions vs. Jaguars | Dolphins vs. Raiders | Patriots vs. Rams | Saints vs. Browns | Steelers vs. Ravens | Titans vs. Vikings | Jets vs. Colts | Broncos vs. Falcons | 49ers vs. Seahawks | Bills vs. Chiefs | Chargers vs. Bengals | Cowboys vs. Texans

Lorenzo Reyes: Falcons 21, Broncos 18

Atlanta is so inconsistent. But given that the Falcons just lost to the Saints, I could see them elevating their play, even though Denver has an excellent defense. The key for the Falcons will be to generate any type of pass rush.

Tyler Dragon: Falcons 21, Broncos 19

The Broncos nearly had a signature win versus Kansas City last week. Denver played well enough to win. Will their performance carry over to Week 11 versus the Falcons? The Falcons are coming off a frustrating loss. I think Atlanta gets back on track this week with strong games from Bijan Robinson, Drake London and Darnell Mooney.

Richard Morin: Broncos 27, Falcons 23

Don’t go against Bo!

Jordan Mendoza: Falcons 22, Broncos 20

On paper, Atlanta is a much better team. But Denver is scrappy and can play against almost anyone. In the altitude, Younghoe Koo redeems himself with some major kicks to power the Falcons through while the Broncos suffer another close defeat.

Denver rally shows divided feelings over U.S.-Israel action against Iran

DENVER — More than 24 hours after the United States and Israel attacked Iran, Coloradans are continuing to express their feelings about what the attack means not only for the world, but here in our state.

For the second straight day, Coloradans expressed their opinions on the steps of the state Capitol about the attack by the US and Israel on Iran.

But instead of anger, as was the case on Saturday, the tone on Sunday was more cheerful.

“Today it’s a celebration about like getting our freedom back, and we would love to have people to be happy with us,” said Forzun Yalme, who helped organize the event with Free Iran Colorado.

For some Iranian-Americans, the news of the attack brings a new sense of hope that freedom is near.

“For me to be Iranian-American, in 47 years here, I learned about democracy and human rights and what I like,” detailed Amir Tosh, another member of Free Iran Colorado. “I want to transfer what your values are for democracy, human rights, freedom to my country, my motherland.”

“My uncle and grandma, grandparents, they were all so happy about what happened, because we can, like, now feel the freedom,” explained Yalme.

But some Iranian-Americans are more cautious.

Colorado’s only Iranian-American state representative, Yara Zokaie, doubts the operation will have a significant impact to Iran’s leadership.

“I’m sympathetic to people who want regime change by any means necessary, but I think we also need to stop and realize what this actually means,” said Zokaie. “Regime change is not something that can happen in one airstrike.”

Zokaie admits she herself was elated to hear Iran’s supreme leader and other top officials were killed in the attack.

But she hopes Coloradans remember the innocent people who have already been killed and those who are more likely to come.

“I ask that we remember the humanity of people in the Middle East as this news unfolds. I ask that we call for a peaceful resolution that we empower Iranian people who will bring change from within, and that we call for no war with Iran,” said Zokaie.

Several people at today’s event at the Capitol approached our Denver7 team. They shared their gratitude for President Donald Trump, the US military, and the Israelis for their action in helping bring freedom to Iran.

They hope others will see that as well. They plan on being here for the next hour and a half or so.
