PARKER, AZ (3TV/CBS 5) — About 150 firefighters are battling a wildfire that has pressured evacuations close to the California-Arizona border. The Misplaced Lake Hearth began on Thursday round 7 a.m. and has since grown to 4,900 acres as of Friday night. It’s burning about 14 miles southwest of Parker, Arizona. The Misplaced Lake Resort has been evacuated. Firefighters made progress on Friday and the wildfire is 30% contained.

Hearth crews are working to safe a fringe across the hearth and shield the communities of Misplaced Lake and Hidden Valley resorts. The flames are burning by way of grass, salt cedar and desert brush. It’s unclear how the fireplace began.
