2 shootings in Oakland only hours apart: Police

Police are investigating two shootings that occurred Saturday morning and afternoon in Oakland, leaving two injured.

The primary taking pictures occurred within the 1700 block of West St. round 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered a sufferer affected by a gunshot wound. The sufferer was taken to an area hospital and is at the moment in secure situation.

The second taking pictures was round 2:30 p.m. within the 2000 block of Myrtle St. Officers arrived and noticed a second sufferer affected by gunshot wounds.

The situation of the second sufferer is at the moment unknown.

Police didn’t disclose if the shootings had been linked or present an outline of the suspect(s).
