No suspect found after reports of shots fired at Arizona Mills Mall, police say
TEMPE, Ariz. – Police say a suspect has not been discovered after an altercation led to experiences of pictures being fired on the Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe.
Tempe Police say officers responded to the mall at about 6:30 p.m. on July 29 after receiving experiences of a person with a gun. Moreover, folks had been posting to social media reporting an energetic shooter.
Investigators say there was an altercation at a Starbucks contained in the mall between a person and one other individual, which led to the person pulling out a gun and pointing it on the different individual. Earlier than police arrived on the scene, the suspect reportedly ran contained in the mall.
Police mentioned it is unclear if there have been any pictures really fired, or if the reported loud noises got here from the sounds of safety gates closing.
The huge police response to the incident was due partially to the current mass shootings taking place across the nation.
The mall can be reopened earlier than 9 p.m.
No accidents have been reported.
