Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Saunders has lashed out at his team despite the fact that they managed to get a win on Saturday over the Arizona State Sun Devils away from home.

The Buffaloes ran out 27-24 winners over Arizona State in what was a tightly-contested match, and it was quarterback Shedeur Sanders who grabbed the headlines with his performance and celebrations at the end.

Whilst a win is a win, Sanders wants to see a lot more from his team when they next take the field. Deion is the father of Shedeur, but the criticism seems to be aimed at everyone on the team.

“We played like hot garbage,” Deion said.

“We got to figure this out. I’m sick of it.

“We’re better than that. We really are better than that.”

Shedeur Sanders was sacked five times

Shedeur was mentioned specifically by his father after a reporter mentioned the Arizona sack numbers, as Shedeur was sacked five times for 48 yards during the game.

“You think he is happy being the most-sacked guy?” Deion said.

“I’m sick of these consistent holes that we’re displaying and the penalties.

“All 11 players got to do the right thing on each play. It can’t be 10 players and one player’s not.

“It’s just something that I feel like us as players, we got to get together and put a stop to the badness that’s going on with the slow starts.

“Y’all knew when the game was close, we a second half team.

“Y’all already knew that- We just can’t afford to keep doing it.
