ASU QB Emory Jones leaves game after hit to head in 2nd quarter
Arizona State quarterback Emory Jones left Saturday’s recreation vs. Washington at Solar Satan Stadium within the second quarter after being hit within the head whereas sliding to the turf to finish a rush.
Jones absorbed the hit by Washington’s Asa Turner with 8:49 left earlier than halftime and ASU trailing 10-7. Jones shortly went to ASU’s locker room for analysis after leaving the sphere.
After a video assessment, Turner was ejected from the sport for focusing on.

Trent Bourguet changed Jones at quarterback. Xazavian Valladay promptly scored on an 11-yard landing run on the primary play after Jones left the sport to drag ASU right into a 10-10 tie.

On ASU’s subsequent possession, Bourguet led the Solar Devils to a 17-10 lead through a 90-yard scoring drive that he ended with a 14-yard landing move to Valladay.
ASU upped its result in 24-10 due to a 36-yard interception returned for landing by Jordan Clark.
Earlier, Carter Brown kicked a career-best 53-yard discipline purpose for the Solar Devils to chop Washington’s result in 7-3 after the Huskies scored a landing on their first possession. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. capped a 12-play drive with a 1-yard plunge with 4:31 left within the first quarter.
Jones remained out for the remainder of the primary half after taking the hit.
