Arizona hires San Jose State’s Brent Brennan as new head football coach

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Less than two days after losing its coach, the University of Arizona has a new leader for its football program.

According to several reports, Brent Brennan will coach the Wildcats. Brennan will take over for Jedd Fisch, who left to coach the Washington Huskies.

Brennan had been coaching at San Jose State since 2017. He led the Spartans to a 34-48 record, including a 7-6 mark this past season. San Jose State lost to Coastal Carolina in the Hawaii Bowl.

He also served one season in Tucson as a graduate assistant in 2000.
