Officers responding to shots fired in downtown Anchorage find 1 dead, 1 seriously injured, police say

One man is lifeless and one other has been hospitalized after an obvious taking pictures in downtown Anchorage early Saturday morning that police are investigating as a murder.

Police stated they responded at 3:19 a.m. Saturday to experiences of photographs fired in a big parking zone on West Third Avenue between G and H streets.

Once they arrived on the scene, officers discovered two males — one who was declared lifeless on the scene, and one other who was taken to the hospital with life-threatening accidents, police stated.

The police division categorized the investigation as a murder in an internet report Saturday morning.

“A number of individuals are being interviewed; no arrests have been made,” police stated within the report.

The parking zone, which is situated a few block from Anchorage Police Division headquarters, was blocked off Saturday morning as police investigated the scene.

Saturday’s incident follows one other murder investigation within the space from December. Brodie Smith, 30, died within the hospital Dec. 10, six days after he was concerned in a battle at The Gaslight Lounge after which was severely crushed in a distinct parking zone close by, in accordance with court docket paperwork filed with fees within the case.
