1 person dead, 1 injured in a head-on car crash in Wasilla

A head-on collision within the Wasilla space Saturday left one particular person lifeless and one other significantly injured, Alaska State Troopers say.

Troopers, Wasilla Police and different emergency companies responded at round 11 p.m. to Mile 46 of the Parks Freeway to a report of a two-car crash, in accordance with the troopers’ report.

Gary Beall, 68, of Wasilla, was driving a pink 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee northbound within the southbound lane and struck a black 2014 Cadillac sedan, troopers stated. Beall died on scene, troopers reported. The 18-year-old Cadillac driver, Kiprian Ivanov, of Wasilla, was taken to a hospital with critical accidents.

Neither of the drivers had passengers of their automobiles.

Parks Freeway site visitors was diverted onto an adjoining street after the crash.

Public security officers are persevering with the investigation, in accordance with the report.
