Travis Kelce says Tom Brady's 'unbelievable' roast had him 'in tears'; Jason Kelce was left perplexed
Netflix’s “The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady” has been widely discussed since it aired live on the streaming platform Sunday.
Travis and Jason Kelce spent a few moments on the latest edition of their “New Heights” podcast reacting to the roast, with each brother having a different takeaway. Travis seemed impressed by the parts of the special he watched, saying it was “unbelievable.”
“I had been in tears the whole day just watching the clips and everything,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end noted.
Jason did not seem to be in any rush when a fan asked the Kelce brothers if they would consider getting the roast treatment themselves. Although the recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center wondered why anyone would sign up for what Brady endured, he also said he was entertained.

“It was pure entertainment, and I’m really happy they did it, but I just don’t get the roasts,” Jason said. “I don’t know why people do it. Maybe I take myself too seriously. … It was star-studded. The best part about it was how many just iconic NFL and celebrities of immense stature that were there.
“Not to mention the entire Patriots dynasty showing up for Tom. That being said, I really don’t f—ing get it. I don’t get why people do roasts. I don’t get why they are a thing. Haha, yeah, my family’s ruined. It’s so funny. Everyone’s laughing. It’s great, we’re having fun. Yeah, right.’”
Everything from Brady’s previous marriage to Gisele Bündchen, to the deflategate scandal and even his failed cryptocurrency investment were up for grabs in the no-holds-barred roast. Only a “massage” joke from “roast master” Jeff Ross directed at longtime New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft seemed to get under Brady’s skin.
Travis applauded Brady for being a “good sport” throughout the majority of the three-hour event.
“I commend everybody because no one seemed to get their feelings hurt. It seems like everyone was having fun with it. But, at the same time, that s— had me rolling because of how at everybody’s neck people were going.”
While Brady’s compensation for agreeing to participate in the roast remains unclear, Jason said he would subject himself to a roast if he was offered enough money.
“I take it back. I’ll do a roast. What’d you guys pay Tom? The one person I wouldn’t allow on the stage is (my wife) Kylie,” Jason said. “She knows too much. … Every day I am getting roasted by Kylie.”

F1 star Lewis Hamilton admits he was apprehensive ahead of 'Hot Ones' appearance: 'How can I get out of this?'
Seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton broke a sweat during his highly anticipated appearance on “Hot Ones,” a popular internet series where celebrities are interviewed while eating wings that get increasingly hot.
Hamilton contemplated skipping his “Hot Ones” appearance altogether, citing his uneasiness over the spice challenge. The Formula One driver even considered backing out of his commitment as he was making his way to the studio.
“Even on the way here I was honestly like, “How can I get out of this?’” Hamilton admitted.
But Hamilton also noted his busy schedule also played a role leading up to the appearance.
“A part of it was scheduling [conflicts], but most of it was like, ‘I don’t know if I can do it,’” he said.

The British driver seemed relatively unfazed by the first few wings, but he was noticeably surprised by the spiciness of the fifth wing.
“Holy s—, it’s hard to talk,” Hamilton said.
The sixth wing was coated in the “Da Bomb Beyond Insanity” sauce, which the driver seemed to struggle with.
But Hamilton eventually made it through the interview, and, toward the end, he seemed willing to take another swing at the sauce.
“It hurts when I breathe. … Do we go in again? We should just send it,” he said.
At one point during the sit-down, Hamilton did touch on the harrowing experience he had while surfing with 11-time World Surfing League champion Kelly Slater.
“It was 20-foot waves, and Kelly was like, ‘There’s no way you’re coming out there,’” Hamilton said.
“As I started to try to paddle in, I got sucked into the kill zone. I turn around and see this set of four waves coming. [I thought], ‘It’s over. It’s all over.’”
Hamilton said his surfboard was ripped from under him, and he nearly drowned.
“I could hear this wave crash above me,” he recalled. “My board got ripped off and snapped in half. I came back up gasping for air, but the next one was coming. So, I went back down. … I nearly ran out of air. I nearly drowned.”
In February, Hamilton revealed his intention to switch from Mercedes-AMG Petronas to Scuderia Ferrari at the conclusion of the 2024 season. All seven of Hamilton’s championships have come with Mercedes.

US Women's Open golfer strikes bird during tee shot in bizarre 1st-round scene
Hitting birdie putts is what every U.S. Women’s Open golfer is trying to do this week, but Isi Gabsa had a different experience with a birdie on the 12th hole during her first round from Lancester Country Club.
Gabsa teed up on the par-3 12th hole hoping to get in good position to lower her score, which sat at 2-over par through her first round. When she made contact, the ball was heading right for the green, which is exactly what she wanted.
However, as the ball landed, it struck a bird that was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. The bird was motionless, as the ball squirted a few feet away on the green.
An official ended up walking over to the green to check on the bird, and after giving it a look, he picked the bird up and carried it away.
It’s unknown if the bird perished from being struck by the golf ball.

Gabsa would finish the hole with a par after missing the birdie putt. Her first round would conclude with a 3-over 73, putting her tied 67th after one round.
Lancester Country Club was full of odd happenings in Thursday’s first round, including the top-ranked golfer in the field, Nelly Korda, shooting a 10 on the same 12th hole. Korda’s round was in shambles after that, as she finished 10-over on the day.
The course is playing hard for the top women golfers in the world, as the leading score was only 2-under par by Japan’s Yuka Saso at the time of writing.
So, while Korda will have some work to do in Friday’s second round to make the cut, Gabsa is certainly still in the running with how close everyone’s scores were in the first round.
But she may be paying attention to what might be in the way of her golf ball moving forward after this unfortunate run-in with a bird.
