A Santa Ana man was arrested for an alleged weekslong spree of exposing himself to students near Utt Middle School in Tustin.

Three students reported that a man had exposed himself to them in September, and on Tuesday, the Tustin Police Department “conducted surveillance to apprehend the suspect and prevent any further incidents,” according to a news release.

During that surveillance, the man’s car was spotted, and “the suspect was spotted pulling up to a student and seen exposing his genitals,” police said.

Officers pulled that man over, and several victims identified that man, 36-year-old Christopher Scott Shelton, as the person who exposed himself to them, police said.

He was booked into the Orange County Jail on charges of indecent exposure and child annoyance, police said, though he did not appear in a search of jail records.

Police are looking for additional victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Hense at 714-573-3200.
