Man arrested in Riverside hit-and-run crash that killed teen on bicycle

A 37-year-old man has been arrested in reference to a hit-and-run money in Riverside that killed a teenage bicyclist, police stated Thursday.

The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. March 1 close to the intersection of Primary and Poplar streets.

The bicyclist suffered main accidents and died on the scene. He was recognized as 15-year-old Javier Gonzalez, Riverside police stated.

An investigation revealed a black pickup was heading south on Primary Avenue when it crashed into Gonzalez, who was using on the improper facet of the highway, police stated.

The driving force of the truck then allegedly fled the scene with out stopping.
