Cal State Fullerton student in coma after she’s struck by car in Puerto Rico

Simply days in the past, Alondra Romero posed for footage, enthusiastic about her future as a university graduate.

“She’s very hardworking, loving daughter, sister, pal. She cares about all people,” stated Stephanie Romero, Alondra’s sister.

Now the 23-year-old from Gardena is hospitalized in important situation after a critical automotive accident.

“She’s on a ventilator. Half her physique is casted, due to her bones, they’re all damaged from her waist down, principally. It’s very tough to see her,” Stephanie stated.

Making it much more tough for her household, Alondra is 3,000 miles from dwelling in Puerto Rico.

Alondra traveled there 10 days in the past, a trip with buddies to have a good time their upcoming commencement from Cal State Fullerton.

They had been out exploring the island when Alondra determined to take over driving duties. She stepped out of the rental automotive and was slammed by one other driver.

Now Alondra’s sister and brother are in Puerto Rico. They’re hoping she regains consciousness, and greater than something, they simply need her to be effectively sufficient to come back again dwelling to California.

“She’s my half, like I’m her half,” Stephanie stated. “She doesn’t deserve this. I need her to have greatest life she was meant to have, what she’s been working laborious for.”
