Blink-182 to headline benefit concert for Los Angeles fire relief
Multi-platinum punk trio Blink-182 will host a one-night-only benefit concert in Hollywood to support relief efforts for the recent Los Angeles fires.
The band will perform at the Hollywood Palladium on Feb. 13, with all ticket proceeds being donated to Pasadena Humane, California Fire Foundation, Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and ARC Firefighter Fund.
“We’re heartbroken by the devastation these fires have caused and want to do what we can to help our community rebuild,” the band said in a statement released via Live Nation.
The California-born Blink-182 is composed of Mark Hoppus, Travis Barker and Tom DeLonge, who rejoined the seminal punk rock band in 2022 after a nearly decadelong absence. Joining them at the Palladium is fellow beloved punk rock triumvirate Alkaline Trio, fronted by Matt Skiba, who recorded two albums as a member of Blink-182 during DeLonge’s hiatus.
The Eaton and Palisades fires that swept through Los Angeles earlier this month have been among the most destructive in the state’s history. Combined, the fires claimed at least 27 lives, destroyed over 12,000 structures and displaced more than 80,000 residents.
The concert aims to raise significant funds for organizations aiding victims and first responders while giving fans a chance to support their community through music.
Tickets go on sale Monday at 3 p.m. exclusively on Ticketmaster, with resale tickets limited to the ticketing platform’s “Face Value Exchange” at the original purchase price.
Another massive benefit concert, FireAid, happening at Kia Forum and Intuit Dome in Inglewood later this week, aims to raise tens of thousands for fire recovery efforts. KTLA is a streaming partner for that event, which takes place on Thursday.
