FBI agents arrest Galveston County man in connection with Capitol riots

In a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat, when requested if he obtained arrested, John Lammons replied, “No bro talked my approach out.”

TEXAS CITY, Texas — A Galveston County man faces federal prices in reference to the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, based on the federal investigators.

FBI brokers arrested John Lammons on Thursday in Texas Metropolis. He is charged with getting into a restricted constructing, disorderly and disruptive conduct, and parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol constructing.

In response to courtroom paperwork, the Joint Terrorism Process Drive first obtained a tip about Lammons every week after the riots. The tip included screenshots from a WhatsApp chat group that was within the Capitol.

They included images and movies of Lammons contained in the constructing, based on the feds.

“Truthfully needed to only get inside and see what they have been saying after we left some idiots got here in and did some silly issues however the first group was completely skilled,” Lammons posted. 

When requested if he obtained arrested, Lammons replied, “No bro talked my approach out.”

When an agent interviewed Lammons at Anaconda Jiu-Jitsu in Galveston, he stated the suspect admitted he entered the Capitol after seeing the group push previous police barricades. 

As soon as inside, Lammons stated he noticed folks shouting and throwing issues on the cops. 

At one level, Lammons is heard shouting, “Maintain your floor,” on a video, based on investigators.

Lammons stated noticed an officer who had an older man on the bottom “that didn’t look nicely,” the agent stated. Lammons stated he helped transfer the person to a protected space.

He stated he ultimately needed to climb by way of a window to get out.
